Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Monday detained a doctor for allegedly
threatening Meher Afroz Shaon, wife of late celebrated writer Humayun
Ahmed, on Facebook on her birthday.
RAB Legal and Media Wing chief M Sohail told bdnews24.com Ehsanuzzaman was caught from Dhaka's New Eskaton area.
"Ehsanuzzaman and his associates created a Facebook group of 12 people and threatened Shaon in the social networking site. They ran negative propaganda against her," he said.
He (the doctor) was detained based on Shaon's complaint, Sohail added.
The RAB officer said they will hold a press conference on the issue later.
